In recent peer group meetings I lead, I asked members for the top apps they use to run their business and lives more efficiently and productively.  Hit this link to see what they are using. I’ll keep this link and list updated.  Would love to know what apps YOU are using.  Let’s add them to the list.
BEST BUSINESS BOOKS TO READ (OR RE-READ!) LIST
By Kurt Theriault
For a long-time I’ve been collecting the titles of books that members recommend, are reading, or have left a lasting impact and initiated change in their behaviors - business or otherwise. Here’s a link to the list.  Feel strongly about adding something to the list?  Email me at ktheriault@alliedexecutives.com and I’ll get it on there.
CULTURE SHOCK
By John Palen
Are you sacrificing your culture with traditional labor strategies?  John posed this question recently to a CEO who is challenged with finding enough employees for her growing company.  Traditionally, this CEO has relied on temp-to-hire staffing companies and managed downturns by reducing that staff. But the quality of the temps in the past year has deteriorated and caused more disruption than efficiencies. She has considered automation but worries that even exploring it might spook her good employees.   Click here for two strategies to combat this issue.

UPCOMING EVENTS
Protect the Future of Your Business - November 29th, 2018 - Drive anywhere in the metro area and you’ll notice “Help Wanted”, “We’re Hiring”, and “Apply Now!” signs plastered on billboards, windows, and buildings everywhere you look.  A major impediment to growth is being unable to staff the organization to deliver the proverbial goods.

The number of job openings in today’s market combined with the lack of available labor supply means that existing workers have the freedom to hop from job to job, leaving managers and leaders scratching their heads and asking, “If we finally get these workers in the door, what can we do differently to keep them from walking out?”

This presentation will unpack what employers can do now and in the near future to recruit top young talent, retain them, and engage them day-to-day. This presentation will provide owners, managers, and leaders:
  • Insight into how every generation shows up at work and why
  • Practical solutions to more effectively attract next generation talent to their organization, and
  • Specific tactics you can use to adapt your communication style to better connect with younger generations
  • SAVE THE DATE - REGISTRATION OPENING SOON!
